THE FINE ART OF TEBBE DAVIS

We have all been placed in this life to explore and discover our Purpose; our voice, a vision and meaning to life.  It’s as if the purpose of life is to discover the purpose of life.  Its just that easy.  The path to the end, which is NOW! (so far) is one of endless folly and experiment.  To be “comfortable”, complacent and stagnant, is a fail for me.  The exhilaration of the unknown and self reliance, and the resource of community and a greater love is where I begin my plight.  “if you are truly happy and you know that every moment in your life has added up to where you are right now; then you have made no mistakes”. Now rejoice and continue.

I look at the sky, the earth, beyond and within. I try to understand others and my own complexity by understanding the cosmos and by preparing myself for endlessly forthcoming discoveries.

We are all Artists! You should want to place your signature on every day and then go get it framed.  I would like to think that I pay attention with an ‘awake’ awareness and unique perspective that gives me the ability to tell stories with my Artwork.  My background as a Photographer and Poet give me a perspective other than the literal; creativity frees us from the bounds of comfort and allow us to delve into personal and intimate understanding of the world around us. My vision is to create a work of art that brings us back to ourselves. The work that is created is from the heart and wants to speak to the soul. My paintings are sometimes layers of work over a period of time, as a means to give feeling to the texture of life. The work reflects the life of imperfections, impressions, memories, and fleeting thoughts that punctuate our existence. I may spend an hour gazing at a leaf in the underbrush, a cloud movement across a summer sky or a stand of trees in the forest and remember, at a cellular level the way I feel, this is the beginning of my Art process.
