ANNE BONNEYMAN Fine Art
Anne Bonnyman is an artist based in Asheville, NC. She painted for many years while leading congregations as an Episcopal priest and now works full time in her mountain studio. She completed an undergraduate degree in Art History and studied painting in private studios in Nashville, Delaware and Boston.
She has pursued continuing education courses at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Museum School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA. In recent years she participated in plein air and studio workshops led by Dawn Whitelaw, Lori Putnam, Tom Hughes and Nina Weiss. She works in oils, primarily painting landscapes and interiors. She enjoys portraying contrasting elements in nature, particularly in her mountain paintings, and celebrates the intimate beauty of the ordinary in her interior scenes.
As a life long student of art history, I understand art as a form of story telling. The artist’s vision is shaped by collective human experience and uniquely expressed as evidence on the canvas. Every painting tells a story.
Anne is currently accepting art commissions and enjoys working with clients to bring their stories into reality on the canvas. Please contact her to discuss a commission at abbart@annebonnyman.com GALLERY ARCHIVE
