WHITE HORSE BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC – A unique performance venue in the Heart of the Western North Carolina Mountains
White Horse Black Mountain has had a simple goal since it’s beginnings in 2008: Bring Good People Together – To Do Good Things – For The Community, The Region and The World, Through the Power of Live Music
THE VISION:
The year was 2007. White Horse Black Mountain founders Kim Hughes and Bob Hinkle had a vision….. a vision of a room filled with good people…. good people enjoying good music in a relaxed and welcoming environment. They had a vision of a venue where the focus was on the music; and on building a connection between the artists and the audience. They had a vision of a place where all types of music were celebrated and cherished and where people could feel at home; where they could feel a sense of community.
A year later, in November of 2008, White Horse Black Mountain opened its doors to the public. For over fourteen years, White Horse has fulfilled its vision as a gathering place for the celebration of music and the performing arts…… and building community around a shared appreciation of the arts.

Truly a treasure to our region. And hoping their recent nonprofit status will help this community gift to flourish.
