FALL AWAY
the sky’s awash
a palette of blackbirds
as though dripping
slides down a cloud
contrived
at eyelevel
in delicate design
the fussy geometry
of a spider’s web
floats
on cool air
immersed
in the shifting of the sun
lights to dark
caressing
in silence
the girth of a craggy hemlock

Such a lovely series of images in this vision in a poem. Thank you dear Jean.

I particularly enjoyed the description of the spiders web as it reminds me of the many times I have watched one being constructed and also watched it in action as it caught unwitting pray. Thanks for the delight, dear Jean
