NATIONAL QUILT MUSEUM

May 9, 2024

NQM has become America’s premier museum for contemporary quilting. Through our first 30 years, NQM has attracted nearly one million visitors, curated more than 250 exhibitions, and served 90,000 students. The museum has also exhibited the work of thousands of today’s most talented quilters.

The collection of the National Quilt Museum includes extraordinary quilted artwork representing today’s quilters from the United States and around the world. Quilts in our collection are all made after 1980, and represent the best of contemporary quilting in a wide range of styles, techniques, inspiration, and unique artistic voices. The collection currently includes over 650 quilts, with more being added each year.
