This week, we took another exciting step forward by announcing the first honorees for our 2026 Women Making History Awards Gala—civil rights icon Ruby Bridges, ArentFox Schiff, and the inaugural recipients of the Meryl Streep Educator Award. Their achievements remind us that history is not simply something we inherit—it is something we continue to shape. As we look toward America’s next 250 years, the Museum is committed to ensuring women’s stories remain at the center of how our nation understands its past and imagines its future.
