STORY PARLOR – Art Space Ashevlle

November 20, 2024

Dear Story Parlor Community,

We’re overjoyed to share that after nearly two months of closure due to Hurricane Helene, come December, Story Parlor will be reopening our doors! Along with yesterday’s news that Asheville now has potable water, we have completed repairs on our roof and basement and are eager to welcome you back.

Before anything else, I want to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to all who have donated to our organization. This has been a particularly scary time for small businesses in our region, and your support has not only provided some stability, but also a beautiful reminder that in order to get through this, we can not go it alone. Together is the only way.

As such, we felt it fitting to make our first public event our art-for-all All Arts Open Mic on Thursday, December 5, with a special theme of “Resilience” to honor the mountain-strong spirit of our city. Come prepared with a five minute original piece that speaks to this theme. Please note, for this mic only, we are humbly requesting donations for entry in efforts to help rebuild a sturdy foundation as we move into the new year.
